A valuation analyzes your company’s financial condition and gives you accurate information in a comprehensive report based on accepted standards of value (see below). Establishing a value which can be supported involves several valuation methods, industry analysis and comparable sales. We offer two types of valuations:
PRELIMINARY VALUE ANALYSIS
- A limited scope valuation designed specifically for the
“main street” type
businesses. The basis of this report is to determine
discretionary
earnings, since most “main street” businesses are
bought and sold on a multiple
of discretionary earnings. This report considers
historical and
current financial performance. The following is a sampling of
what the
report will contain:
*Industry overview
*Development of a SDCF multiple
*Financial statement reconstruction and forecasts
*Asset based business valuation results
*Appraiser's statement of accreditation
The second type of valuation is
the FORMAL VALUATION
will provide a detailed review of all aspects of the business and
follows the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice
(USPAP) as promulgated by the Appraisal Foundation. The
appraisal also follows the requirements of a valuation engagement, as
that term is defined in the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, Statement on Standards for Valuation Services No. 1 (SSVS
No. 1).
*Sources of information *Business description *Industry overview *Business valuation approaches and methods *Asset based business valuation results *Income based business valuation results | *Conclusion of business values *Selling considerations *Business price justification *Statement of limiting conditions *Appraiser's statement of
